The transition between Summer and Winter feels sudden, and I really don’t like the dark autumn months; so thank God for astro photograpy bringing joy into this time. Unfortunatly rain is more common than not at this time, so I haven’t had to many really clear nigths to shoot. I realised that really clear nights are important. A little haze or clouds drifting in and out is really destructive; I better look at planets.
I work from backyard, and has a limitetd “window” to the sky. Therefor a object of interest for me at this time, is Cygnus, and in the middle of Cygnus is the bright star Sadr. Sadr’s backdrop is an inferno of dark nebulas, diffuse emissions and a great numbers of stars.
Using Askar Duo-band HA+Oiii C1 filter with FMA180 and asi585mc and Star Adventurer 2i. 3 hr integration o 10 sec subs. Some issues, but that what I have to deal with on this set up and tracking. Edit in Siril.
Sadr sits embedded in a vast, complex diffuse emission and dark nebula known as the Sadr Region or Gamma Cygni Nebula (cataloged as IC 1318).
The Nebula Complex: Spans over 100 light-years across the Milky Way, filled with glowing hydrogen-alpha red gas and intricate dark dust lanes.
Andromeda
Removing the duo-band filter I also took cominbed 90 minutes of lights of Andromeda, also with the FMA180. All I did with that was a simple graxpert stretch.
